10-28-2009 Unity Jacks

In what was another late night at work, I was wondering what I could use as my pic o the day when I was going to the restroom for a bathroom break and noticed this table of Jack O’ Lanterns.

Apparently Unity (the other Boston Scientific project that actually has the luxury of leaving work at 3pm to go carve jack o’ lanterns and have fun…no, I’m not bitter, why do you ask?) went on a Halloween outing the night before and had a pumpkin carving contest. My favorite is the chinky one with the small eyes…dunno why…

10-27-2009 Northeast Fall

I guess I’ve never been in the northeast in the autumn time. I realized this when I stepped out of my hotel today and started walking towards the office, which is like a 5 min walk…literally just outside the back door…

Littered around the parking lot of the shopping mall, were these gorgeous trees that were shedding their leaves for the year. Colors ranged from orange to red to yellow and everything in between and I just couldn’t help myself, I had to stop and take a picture…errr…pictureS.

10-26-2009 PF Changs

Late night dinner at PF Changs with Ganesh tonight. I hate working in Boston because we always end up working super late(later than Valencia!!!) because of the time difference, we end up staying later b/c Valencia is just getting off. For example, leaving at 9/9:30 is normal in Natick since it’s only 6:30 in Valencia. *sigh* But after work, we went and grabbed some grub at PF Changs and I noticed this gorgeous horse statue that made it as my model for the day.

10-25-2009 Ivari’s Room

Spent all day to get the baby room ready for Ivari. At the beginning of the day, this room was beige and had a big mess of things on the floor, but my fantastic wife cleaned up all the crap we had in there and then we got started with painting the room, put the baby bed together and then put the chandelier up. I’m not taking credit for any of it, Suni’s stepdad Don did most of the work, but I’m very happy with the results. Thanks, Don!!

My French Bulldog Diesel was my subject of the day as he rest peacefully on his blanket before I put him out for the night. Sorry for the boogers in his eyes, I didn’t notice them until after I took the pics.

10-23-2009 Kitties and Lasers

I don’t know what it is, but cats loooooooove lasers and as little exercise as our kitty gets, she got plenty of exercise after Suni got a new laser from Wal-Mart that’s shaped like a mouse and then moved it all around the room for Loki to chase. It’s frickin hilarious. I thought seeing my french bulldog chasing it around was entertaining already, but a cat moves faster and has way more energy. They are so intent on their prey that when you move the laser back and forth in front of them, their head starts moving left and right so quickly it looks like a bobble head just after you pop it. One of the pics below shows her little tongue as she is panting from all the unexpected exercise.

10-22-2009 Baby Pine Cone

Have you ever wondered where pine cones came from? I never really thought about it until I walked by the pine cone tree in front of our office and noticed the little pine cones still growing in the trees. I guess once they get big enough, they fall out of the tree and die, but until then, they’re just sitting happily in the trees, as evidenced in this shot.

10-21-2009 Buca di Beppo

We had a work event tonight at Buca di Beppo for an All hands meeting and the food was delicious, the wine was free flowing and fun was had by all…especially Todd (as seen by the photos below). Afterwards, we went to BJs (as always) and Todd tried to give his number to the waitress, but she didn’t want it so Todd got to keep his own number for the night.

10-20-2009 Valencia Embassy Suites Wall

The Embassy Suites in Valencia, CA is very nice. They have this iridescent wall at the front lobby which has water running over it at all times. There’s many other cool things about this hotel lobby, but I’m using this pic as my pic of the day. My shot doesn’t do it justice, but I tried my best with fixing it up in Lightroom.
